XM starting Monday…

You might have seen this already, but the show will start on XM 144 Monday morning. 10am-Noon daily…right after Tony Kornheiser. A lot of you have emailed asking about this, I hope you are able to tune in.

I know this report is coming out at 2pm on Thursday, but I want to know what you think about the past decade of baseball. Do you view this as the ‘steroid era’ or do you think there were smaller percentage of players using illegal performance enhancers. I don’t want to put words in your mouth. If you could summarize the past decade…what would you say? I ask this because, no matter what the report says….I’m pretty sure the public opinion is pretty well set.

This is what I’m calling Michael Vick’s old house. I read a great piece in USA Today about the open house they had there over the weekend. Who is touring this house? It’s weird, the culture of celebrity. Why would someone want to see where all these awful acts happened? I guess there’s a morbid curiousity combined with the celeb angle, but when I seen an old couple taking pictures in Vick’s old bathroom…I don’t know whether to laugh or not.

Vick is going to be sentenced any minute and when he does, I want your take…too harsh, too light or just right.

Moss and Owens

I saw a good piece by Jim Trotter on SI.com about Randy Moss. Jim said he wouldn’t give Randy Moss an MVP vote because of how he’s given half-effort for his teams in the past. Read the piece, interesting take.

The things I was thinking about off this:

-Should you factor in behavior if you are voting for someone for MVP…Hall of Fame…etc?

-And one other thing. Moss and Terrell Owens are both having great seasons and have to be looked at as future Hall of Famers. So, if you had one vote and had to pick…Moss or T.O…who and why?

Mike Vick….has he always “accepted responsibility”?

Here is Michael Vick’s statement from July 26^th, read by lawyer Billy Martin:

“Today in court I pleaded innocent to the allegations made against me. I take these charges very seriously and I look forward to clearing my good name. I respectfully ask all of you to hold your judgment until all of the facts are shown. Above all, I would like to say to my mom I am sorry for what she has had to go through in this most trying of times. It’s caused pain for my family and I apologize to my family. I also want to apologize to my Falcon teammates for not being with them.”

Martin went on to say this that day:

“We are conducting our own investigation, looking forward to standing before the world to say that Michael Vick is innocent,” Martin told reporters moments after his client left the courthouse at 4:02p..

Yesterday vick’s lawyer Billy Martin said this:

“From the beginning, Mr. Vick has accepted responsibility for his actions, and his self-surrender further demonstrates that acceptance,” attorney Billy Martin said in a statement. “Michael wants to again apologize to everyone who has been hurt in this matter, and he thanks all of the people who have offered him and his family prayers and support during this time.”

I know it’s a lawyers job to say whatever benefits his client, but it’s not my job to believe him.
