Brett Favre for Sportsman of the year? Maybe a lifetime acheivment award. But Sportsman of the year? With Tiger, Federer, Brady, Moss, Nash, and everyone else who had an unbelieveable ’07…the list goes on and on. I’m all about Brett’s accomplishments but there are many more deserving for Sportsman of the year. My debate? Brett Favre vs. Roger Federer or Tiger Woods.

I’m with Jonathan – how about some sort of “Best Sports Movie” competition? Could be general categories or specific ones like best tearjerker or baseball movie. There are so many excellent ones out there.
Or what Snead said (sort of) – most annoying sports movies for whatever reason (manufactured tears for instance).

are you kidding me! clemens’ camp leaked the tape! clemens knew he was being taped!!!! this is crazy!! i love it!
clemens is lying on the tape he said he didn’t know if it was being taped or who is on the line but his lawyer just said clemens consented to it being taped! i know you will be all over this tomorrow!
If Clemens is lying, why would his lawyers take the chance of participating in a phone conversation that could be recorded by either side with the possibility of Mcnamee saying you know I told the truth or I am not going to lie for you. Of course, the conversation sounded like both parties guarded their words and avoided specifics, due to the advice of their lawyers. Nevertheless, I do believe Clemens deserves the benefit of the doubt because no one should be able to accuse of you something without some proof. No proof of purchase, no other witnesses, and no circumstancial evidence that can tie Clemens to steroids except for Mcnamee. Cut Clemens some leeway because if he goes to testify before Congress and Pettite offers no surprise details then he could be innocent. We all need to remember most people classified the Duke Lacrosse players guilty on similar evidence. Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty Dan? Don’t you know that the Federal prosecutors seized an opportunity land some big fish with the threat of jail time. What, people don’t lie under oath to avoid the slammer. Come on Dan, how could the government ever prove Mcnamee lied to them when there is no evidence. Think about that Dan. He could have provided any player’s name that he ever trained, and there is no way they can refute it when it is soley based on Mcnamee’s statement.
A debate I would like to hear; Are the Patriots taking the Yankees place as the franchise most hated by sports fans?
